  1. Short: Telnet daemon for serial applications
  2.  
  3. BBS programs (amoung others) generally only know how to talk to modems
  4. hooked up to a serial port on the Amiga.  telnetd.device is a serial.device
  5. look-a-like that allows BBS programs to accept telnet connections over a
  6. network.
  7.  
  8. telnetd.device requires:
  9.  
  10. 1) WorkBench 2.04 or higher
  11.  
  12. 2) One of the following protocol stacks:
  13.  
  14.    a) AS225 Release 2 (prefered)
  15.  
  16.    b) AmiTCP version 2 or higher
  17.  
  18. 3) Some form of network connection. :-)
  19.  
  20. telnetd.device is being released as shareware.  This version of the device
  21. has several restrictions.  See the docs for more information.
